GCL System Integration among first companies awarded with the LeTID test certificate from TÜV Rheinland

SUZHOU, China, June 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 4th, TÜV Rheinland officially released the LeTID standard at the Shanghai SNEC exhibition. GCL System Integration (GCL SI) was one of the first five companies globally to be awarded with the LeTID certificate based on the 2 PfG 2689/04.19.



Guo Qizhi, General Manager of Module R&D Department of GCL SI, said at the awarding ceremony that the certificate has proved the "GCL Monomodules" have excellent anti-LeTID performance, and GCL SI has become one of the few solar cell and module producers with the technology of reducing and controlling LeTID in mass production.


There was no internationally accepted LeTED test standard before the release of the standard. TÜV Rheinland, after spending two years studying and testing modules with various technical routes, determined the mechanism for LeTID and developed its internal yet widely representative test standard 2 PfG 2689/04.19. The mono-modules from GCL SI were among the first-batch being certified in the world due to the low cell oxygen and excellent LID & LeTID performance.


According to its latest annual report, GCL SI as a leading PV company invests heavily in technology R&D, and made many breakthroughs in 2018, including the technologies for high-efficiency poly mono and bifacial cells, N-type passivated contact solar cell industrialization, MBB half-cell modules, high-efficiency bifacial double glass modules, high-efficiency imbricated modules and the smart automated manufacturing system.
